New firmware update for KRYPTON 2: Green color palette and more useful features

Pulsar launches a new firmware version 2.3.100 for all KRYPTON 2 thermal imaging attachments. The highlight of the new update – a Green color palette that resembles night vision.

Update in short:

  • Green color palette for more comfortable observation.
  • Improved image quality in Krypton 2 FXG/XG models.
  • Enhanced handling of corrupt media files.

First-ever green color palette

Krypton 2 is the first thermal imaging device by Pulsar to receive a Green color palette. There are several reasons for this notable innovation. Firstly, it is less stressful for the human eye making observation more comfortable and less likely to cause eye strain during prolonged use.

Secondly, many users of the Krypton 2 are avid fans of night vision. This color palette makes it feel like you’re looking through an analog NV device – except Krypton 2 provides more details. As a result, this will make the shift from analog night vision to thermal smoother, providing night hunters with a familiar image.

More news for better use

For owners of Krypton 2 FXG and Krypton 2 XG models, firmware version 2.3.100 also brings various welcome image quality improvements.

Regarding bug fixes, we resolved an issue that caused some users to be unable to view recorded media files – corrupted files will no longer appear in the library.

As usual, firmware updates are available through the Stream Vision 2 app. For detailed instructions on installing the update, see the device manual here.
