Pulsar brand ambassadors
This May marks the second Pulsar brand ambassadors meeting in Lithuania. The extended family of hunters, content creators and nature lovers spent three days getting acquainted with Pulsar history and manufacturing, testing new devices, learning from industry insiders and having fun surrounded by like-minded colleagues. Held in Vilnius, the meeting felt more like a “long time no see” reunion of old friends.
Our growing brand ambassadors’ team continues to become ever more multicultural. The 19 members representing eight countries created a diversity that made for a fun and exciting event.
Scandinavia had strong representation including two Danes – Jón Rúnar Guðjónsson, a greatest storyteller and avid hunter, and Christian Rysgaard, a wonderful writer whose stories are published in the most famous Danish and English hunting magazines.
Swedish hunter Erica Victoria Egonsson only trusts the trains she drives herself (yes, that’s her daily job!), while Stefan Orman, a former USD flow team aggressive inline skater, is also an active shooting instructor – you wouldn’t want to compete with him in precision shooting. Then there is the experienced hunter best known as YouTube host Night Vision Viking.
Norwegian hunter Andrea Lysvold lives in the Lofoten Islands and started hunting three years ago. Ever since, this hobby has been a big part of her identity and lifestyle.
The Brits – Phil Taylor, Lee Perryman, Tom Davies, Kevin Murphy and James Burchell – are all experienced hunters running popular Facebook groups or YouTube channels and supporting people with their insights on Pulsar devices. While Aidan Campbell from Northern Ireland not only does a great job educating hunting enthusiasts in that part of the British Isles, but he also proved once again to be the true life and soul of the party.
Long-time Pulsar friend and brand ambassador Dr Henrik Sproedt from Germany heads up the “Jagdschule Grimbart” hunting school and popular YouTube channel “Grimbart TV”. His German colleague Felix does a great job giving hunting tips on his YouTube channel “Hunting Felix”, while the new Pro staff team member Maximilian Schütz specializes in hunting photography and videography and is a publisher behind the German hunting site “Hunt on Demand”.
Riccardo Tamburini added some Italian vibes to the company. An avid hunter himself, Riccardo creates valuable content for top Italian and foreign hunting magazines and professionally documents his hunting trips with photography.
Three Polish hunters also joined us. Krzysztof Turowski is a lecturer, hunting textbook author and expert in hunting techniques. He was joined by two lovely huntresses: Julia Nowak, who was raised in a family of hunters and continues nurturing this tradition while studying in Sweden, and Agnieszka Walczak, a woman of many passions. Agnieszka’s adventure with hunting began while she was working in the marketing department at a local hunting magazine. Apart from hunting, Agnieszka loves nature photography and spending time outdoors with her two kids.
Call it magic, but even if some only met for the first time in Vilnius, there was a bond connecting them all – you could say the shared passion cuts through cultural differences.
“Although this is my third year on the Pro staff team, this is my first time meeting most of the other team members and what a fantastic group! With such a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities, everyone brings something unique to the team which really feels like an extended family,” James Burchell, a hunter from England, said.
The brand ambassadors’ adventure in Vilnius began with a visit to the Pulsar factory where most of our thermal devices are made. With a bit of company history, a tour and some time for a photoshoot – the team seemed to enjoy the time honestly.
“With the presentation out of the way and some of us picking our jaws up off the ground after hearing how the company had performed in the previous 12 months (wow!), we headed to where the devices are built and the R&D department. The factory is very impressive with lots of different sections where the devices are assembled. The attention to detail is first-rate with every scope being handmade and tested by a human rather than a machine. It was interesting to see where it all comes together,” Phil Taylor, Pulsar brand ambassador from the UK, said.
After visiting the Pulsar headquarters in Vilnius, the team took a boat tour around Lake Galve in the small town of Trakai and then moved to the picturesque Harmony park villa. Here, it was all about mixing the educational part of the meeting with conversations.
Our marketing department presented the product line for 2022. They demonstrated efficient use of Pulsar devices and representatives from a media agency shared some valuable tips on how to create more awareness on YouTube and other social media channels and gave a practical photography workshop designed especially for hunters and outdoor adventurers.
In between educational sessions, the team had the opportunity to test the newest upcoming Pulsar devices, such as the brand-new Merger thermal imaging binoculars, the Talion and Thermion 2 riflescope lines and the Axion 2 compact thermal imaging monoculars.
Because the main Pulsar audience is the hunting community, our team was most looking forward to hearing comments from the brand ambassadors for whom hunting is a passion and way of life. This valuable feedback encourages us to perfect our devices and implement important changes that make the hunting experience even better.
“This meeting was a fantastic way to get to know not only the other team members, but also some of the amazing people behind the scenes at Pulsar who make it all happen. Getting the chance to test some of the newest devices is a bonus and seeing how intently Pulsar listens to the team’s feedback shows how seriously they take our opinion on future developments,” James Burchell, a long-time friend of Pulsar said. And we, the Pulsar team, couldn’t be happier to hear his impressions.
Not only did we share our insights on Pulsar products, but the guests themselves prepared a few interesting presentations too. Swedish hunter Stefan Orman shared his tips and tricks for accurate shooting. Icelander Jon Runar Gudjonsson put a smile on everyone’s faces during his presentation about the future of hunting. Knowing its history and where it is heading brings some peace and certainty that we are on the right track.
These meetings of likeminded people bring us closer. The songs we sang together and the conversations that lasted from sunset to sunrise proved we share so much more than hunting. And no one could put this feeling better than Jon Runar did in just a few words: “We are the manifest of your dreams and nightmares. Devils, goddesses, jokers, singers, thinkers, dreamers, primadonnas, testers, poets, storytellers, lovers. We are your family.”
Until next time, Pulsar family!
